Pregnant Skincare Routine

When I was pregnant I had no idea what skincare products were safe. Why does being pregnant increase my sense of self and my skin? I won't try to be preachy. Please listen. My skincare routine has always seemed new to me but I'll be back soon and the skin care products are often not mentioned on prenal visits. Even when you are aware of asking for skincare products, your doctor may not understand every ingredient that can be avoided.

What products are safe for your skin during pregnancy?

You are a gigantic organ that passes through your bloodstream to your baby through your placenta. Babies are very sensitive; it is best not to use these products while pregnant. But the list doesn't just end here.

Since I don't have doctor training, I wanted to share a few helpful tips and techniques to help me with the decision-making process while pregnant a child. Do a little homework and talk to a cardiologist!

Pregnancy-Related Skin Issues

Although we use most of these items, it does not mean you have to or should spend any of them. I suggest that you choose 1 product from any category below and that I'm sure it'd work if I were pregnant.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C helps reduce dark patches in pregnancies. Vitamin C can be incredibly useful to maintain collagen in the face. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps prevent the formation of free radicals. And it should happen regardless of your pregnancy or not.

Swap Your Salicylic Acid for Glycolic or Lactic

Anything that has salicylic acids. The use of sodium acid is not recommended as it is highly reactive to octopamine. Although salicylic acids are sometimes considered the holy-grail in acne treatments, this does not mean you can slough out dirt and bacteria with an exfoliator.

Instead just use glycolic acid or lactose instead. These substances may cause bleeding while pregnant and have no effect on the body. It is important that you not get the Botox or other cosmetic treatments.
